Responsibility and contact
DAO MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY LIMITED determines the purposes and means of processing data within its platform operations. Where it processes data on a partner’s behalf, the relevant agreement defines each party’s role and responsibilities.
Send requests to hello@daomusic.com with the subject “Personal data”, describing your request and the relevant account or reference if available. Do not send passwords or one-time passwords (OTPs).
Data and purposes
Enquiries and partnerships: name, email, artist/organisation name, topic, message and material you submit, to receive, assess, respond to and follow up on your enquiry.
Partner Portal: account, representative and contact details, contracts, catalogue, statements, reconciliation and support information, to verify access and fulfil the partnership.
Operations: necessary device, browser, IP address and log information, to maintain services, prevent abuse and handle incidents. Public artist information, images and content are used within established rights.
Data comes from you, an authorised representative or partner with a lawful basis, or your interaction with the platform. Provide accurate information and only share another person’s data where lawfully permitted. Do not send identity documents or payment card data through the general enquiry form. Processes requiring identity, tax, payment or sensitive data provide a separate notice and suitable collection channel beforehand.
Legal basis and your choices
DAO seeks clear consent for each purpose where required. Visiting the website, silence or inaction does not constitute consent. Processing to fulfil your agreement, comply with legal obligations or meet another legal exception may proceed without consent where the applicable conditions are met.
Marketing subscriptions must be a separate choice and cannot be bundled as a condition for unrelated enquiries or services. The website currently has no newsletter subscription or advertising tools activated by DAO.
Recipients and processing outside Vietnam
Access is limited to authorised staff; infrastructure, storage, authentication, email and operational providers; relevant partners where there is a lawful basis; and competent authorities where required. DAO does not trade personal data. Processors acting on DAO’s instructions are limited to their assigned purposes and must meet appropriate data-protection obligations.
The website uses ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure to serve pages and store enquiries, FormSubmit to forward forms by email, and Sanity for public content management. Google Maps loads only with your permission. Partner contracts, revenue statements and private records must not be published in the public CMS.
Providers may process data outside Vietnam. Processing must meet applicable data-protection and cross-border transfer obligations. Additional notices in the relevant Portal process describe its specific providers and processing; storage exclusively in Vietnam is not assumed.
Retention
Enquiries and demos that do not lead to a contract are retained for up to 12 months after the last interaction. Partnership records follow the needs of the contract, accounting, tax and dispute obligations; only necessary data is kept.
Website enquiry records expire 12 months after submission or an interaction update by the responsible staff member. Expired records are excluded from searches and deleted when the system operates. Email copies, processor-held data and backups are handled under the applicable retention arrangements and obligations. You may ask DAO to review deletion or explain retention in your case.
Your rights and requests
Subject to legal conditions, you may be informed, consent or refuse consent, withdraw consent, access or request a copy, correct or delete data, restrict or object to processing, seek protection, complain, report violations, bring proceedings and seek compensation.
DAO requests only necessary verification information. Valid requests receive a procedural response within two working days and are actioned within the applicable statutory period. DAO explains any permitted extension or inability to comply fully.
Withdrawal does not invalidate prior lawful processing. It may affect the part of a service that needs the data, but does not automatically terminate every relationship with DAO. Lawful retention duties and others’ rights may limit certain requests.
Protection and people needing representation
DAO applies appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access, use, disclosure or loss. No system eliminates every risk. DAO handles incidents, remedies their effects and gives notices as legally required.
Children’s data and the data of people requiring representation are processed through appropriate representation and consent. Disclosure of private-life or personal-secret information about children aged seven or older requires the child’s and legal representative’s consent where required by law. Contact DAO for guidance instead of sending children’s records through the general form.
Cookies and third-party content
Cookies and similar technologies store information on your device and may relate to personal data. You may use the website with necessary cookies, choose optional features separately or change your choices in “Cookie settings”.
Language preferences are saved persistently only if you allow them. Embedded maps connect to Google only after you allow third-party content; the separate directions link remains available. Withdrawing permission removes the embed and DAO-managed cookies for the relevant purpose. Previously set third-party cookies may need to be removed through your browser.
Choices apply to this website in the current browser. Portal sessions and cookies on external services follow their respective notices. Changes apply to future processing and do not automatically erase previously lawfully processed data.
Policy updates
DAO publishes the update date and policy version when it changes. A new purpose requiring consent is presented for consent before processing begins; changing policy wording does not replace that step.
The Vietnamese version governs. The English version is provided for reference unless a separate agreement provides otherwise.
