The Sound of Vietnam began with a question: which sound would represent Vietnam? As the organiser, DAO Music Entertainment brought Tóc Tiên, music director Huy Tuấn, five creative teams and the production crew together for a journey through songwriting, release and a national selection show.
On 3 October 2026, S•HUBE’s “Em Tiên” was selected as the song Tóc Tiên would take to Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026. The show concluded one stage of preparation and opened the next: the road to Bangkok.
One artist, five creative perspectives
Launched in Ho Chi Minh City on 16 September, The Sound of Vietnam placed collaboration at the centre of its format. Tóc Tiên performed all five songs, developed under Huy Tuấn’s musical direction:
- S•HUBE — “Em Tiên”.
- VIZA — “a to A”.
- TINLE — “Love Always Wins”.
- HIGHLUA — “Khó gì?”.
- M1 MUSIC — “Follow Me”.
The five tracks were released as the Thanh Âm Việt Nam EP on 20 September 2026, giving audiences time to listen, share and connect with the music before selection night.

3 October: “Em Tiên” becomes Vietnam’s entry
The national selection took place on 3 October 2026, broadcast live on VTV3 and streamed internationally on the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel. Tóc Tiên performed all five songs, each with its own musical and visual approach.
The selection combined a professional jury score (40%), votes from viewers in Vietnam (40%) and a Rest of the World vote (20%). “Em Tiên”, created by S•HUBE’s producer DUONGK and songwriter HAROSÉ, was chosen as Vietnam’s entry.
Blending Vietnamese folk influences with electronic production, “Em Tiên” brought a contemporary approach to familiar cultural references. Eurovision’s official website subsequently confirmed it as Vietnam’s first-ever entry for Eurovision Song Contest Asia.

An impact beyond selection night
The organiser’s project recap records 100 million views, 200 million reach, more than 9,000 discussions and over 100 press articles. The overview graphic cites KOMPA.AI, updated on 8 October 2026.

The recap also records more than 800,000 EP views on YouTube, over one million streams across platforms and appearances on featured playlists.
For community response, the report cites a 99.9% NSR sentiment score from KOMPA.AI.

A My Eurovision Scoreboard community-ranking screenshot in the recap places “Em Tiên” second with 18,538 points at the time captured. This fan ranking is separate from Eurovision Song Contest Asia’s official voting.

The road to Thailand continues
For DAO, The Sound of Vietnam reflects the work of artists, creative teams, production and broadcast partners, media and audiences coming together. The songs, performances and contributions from everyone involved shaped the journey.
DAO Music Entertainment thanks Tóc Tiên, Huy Tuấn, the five creative teams, the full crew, our partners, the press and media, and every audience member who supported The Sound of Vietnam.
The next chapter is ROAD TO THAILAND. According to the international organisers’ announced schedule, Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 will take place at One Bangkok Forum in Bangkok on 14 November 2026, with 11 countries participating. Tóc Tiên and “Em Tiên” will represent Vietnam on that stage.
